Study 2: Frontline Worker Perspectives

Coming Late 2026

This second study will explore the experiences of frontline workers in the mining industry, with a focus on psychosocial safety, working relationships, and psychological wellbeing.

Study 2 is designed to complement the supervisor-focused research by exploring similar themes from the perspective of those who report to supervisors who participated in Study 1.

How this study fits into the research

This PhD research consists of two linked studies:

  • Study 1 explores the experiences of supervisors
  • Study 2 explores the experiences of frontline workers who report to supervisors

Study 2 will only commence after Study 1 is completed and once all required ethics approvals are in place.

Participation status

At this stage:

  • Study 2 is not yet recruiting
  • Frontline workers will not be contacted without appropriate ethics approval
  • No identifying information will be shared between studies

When recruitment opens, full participation details will be published on this site.

Interested in future participation?

If you are a frontline worker and would like to be notified when Study 2 opens, you are welcome to make contact via the expression of interest form.
An expression of interest does not commit you to participation.
